EC Council University (ECCU) is proud to announce the development of its New Mexico Cyber Security Scholarship which is designed to provide tuition assistance to undergraduate and graduate students who are residents of New Mexico. The award will be continual through the program of study in a scholarship amount of 10% of tuition for selected applicants.
Eligibility Criteria:
The applicant must be a current resident of the State of New Mexico, and provide documents providing proof of residency (provide documentation of having resided in New Mexico for the past 12 consecutive months).
Admission:
The applicant must meet all university admission requirements as delineated in the ECCU Catalog. (See the Catalog for complete requirements-below lists are condensed).
Undergraduate (Bachelor of Science in Cyber Security):
1. Be at least 18 years of age.
2. Have earned an Associate’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution or have completed at least 60 semester college credit hours, and submit proof of a High School Diploma.
3. 4. Have completed a college level English and Math course with a grade of “C” or better.
Graduate (Master of Science in Cyber Security)
1. Be at least 18 years of age.
2. Have earned a Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution.
Graduate (Master of Science in Computer Science (MCS))
1. Be at least 18 years of age.
2. Have earned a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an appropriately accredited institution.
3. 4. Must be sufficiently proficient in English (see the catalog for international degrees).
Award Application:
Each applicant must submit a formal request letter addressing the following topics:
1. Include your full contact information.
2. Include the current term and date of your request.
3. Address the request to the “Scholarship Committee”.
Maintaining the Scholarship:
In order to maintain the scholarship from term to term, the recipient must meet ECCU’s “Criteria for Maintaining Continual Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)” (GPA, course completion rate, etc.) as delineated in the ECCU Catalog. If the awardee does not maintain SAP, the scholarship will no longer be awarded. Once the student is no longer on Academic Probation the scholarship will be reinstated.
